HTC-One-software-updates

The HTC One is set to receive its Android 4.2.2 update in mid-June, according to HTC Russia head Kormiltsev Andrey. The device launched with Android 4.1.2 pre-installed, but HTC promised back in April that an update to the latest Android release wasn’t far away.

Samsung-Galaxy-S4-Active

Another day, another new Samsung smartphone. This time it’s the much-anticipated Galaxy S4 Active, a ruggedized, waterproof version of the flagship Galaxy S4 that promises to be “the perfect companion for exploration, activity and adventure.”

Google has announced the latest distribution numbers of the Android operating system over a 14-day period ending on June 3. The figures show a consistent growth in the number of Android users running Jelly Bean, while older versions of the operating system, including Ice Cream Sandwich, continue to die out.

Sony-Xperia-M

Sony has today announced a new addition to its Xperia smartphone family, this time targeting the entry-level end of the market. It’s called the Xperia M and it offers a 4-inch FWVGA display with a 854×480 resolution, a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, and a 5-megapixel Exmor RS rear-facing camera.

Asus has today announced its latest Transformer Pad Infinity slate at Computex 2013 in Taipei, and boy is it a beast. Not only does it carry NVIDIA’s latest Tegra 4 processor — which has a 72-core GeForce GPU — but it also has a 10.1-inch display with the same 2560×1600 resolution as the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro.

That’s a whopping 299 pixels-per-inch.
