Samsung may have suspended its rollout of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for the international Galaxy S III due to a number of frustrating issues, but that hasn’t stopped AT&T from releasing the update to customers in the United States. It’s rolling out now over-the-air, and it brings lots of new features and improvements.

Lock screen widgets were first introduced to Android last November with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, but in Google’s latest KitKat release, they’re disabled by default. But don’t worry — they haven’t been killed off altogether; you just need to enable them again if you want to use them.

HTC has clarified its Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade plans for the flagship HTC One and Droid DNA. Those with a One in North America will get the update — along with Sense 5.5 — by the end of January; while those with a Droid DNA will receive the software “by the end of Q1” 2014.

Sony-Xperia-Z

T-Mobile has finally begun rolling out Android 4.2 Jelly Bean to the Sony Xperia Z, five months after it first reached the international version of the device. The update began its rollout today, November 19, and it will continue to reach handsets over-the-air until Wednesday, December 18.

Still waiting for your Galaxy S III to get Android 4.3? Well, unfortunately, you could be waiting a little while longer yet. Samsung has been forced to suspend the update after having received complaints from disgruntled users who are running into all kinds of issues.
