The HTC One M8’s camera doesn’t just get criticized for its 4-megapixel sensor, but also its seemingly substandard glass lens that picks up scratches worryingly easily during normal, day-to-day use. Fortunately, there is an easy fix for the latter.

All you need is a dab of toothpaste and a Q-tip and you can restore your One M8’s camera lens back to pristine condition.

HTC has today announced that its latest budget-friendly smartphone, the Desire 516, is en route to Europe and will touch down in Austria and Switzerland as a competitor to Motorola’s extremely successful entry-level handset –the Moto G. The device is expected to be available next month from all major electronics retailers for €199 ($270) in both white and grey colorways.

Renowned leaker, @Evleaks, took to Twitter earlier today to bestow upon us some more information with regards to Google’s next Nexus tablet, codenamed Volantis, which we believe will be designed and manufactured by HTC. We first heard about the device last month when we were sent an early render and some alleged specifications, but it turns out that the initial documentation was in fact incorrect. From the details we now have  it looks like Google is attempting to develop the world’s most powerful tablet.

Unlike Apple, Google has always released a new version of Android within a short time of announcing it. However, it looks like the company is going to do things differently with its upcoming ‘L’ release of Android.

In an interview with BusinessWeek, Sundar Pichai, head of Android and ChromeOS at Google, revealed that the company would be previewing the next version of Android at Google I/O, which is scheduled to kick off in less than 24 hours from now.
