It’s no secret that HTC has been getting its ass kicked in the smartphone market. It’s really quite sad to watch it happen, especially since HTC started this dream (see what I did there). HTC created the very first Android smartphone and even gave birth to the first Nexus smartphone. Their build quality was top notch and they were highly revered among the Android community. But something happened. We’re not sure where they lost it, but… they lost it.

As promised, the HTC DROID DNA is now available on Verizon for the subsidized price of $199.99. There’s a lot I like about this device, however, I simply can’t get past the 16GB internal storage with no room for expansion thanks to the lack of microSD. 16GB just isn’t enough for me but I know it’s just fine for many of you (just look at N4 sales).

Just over a week ago, Apple and HTC decided to end their patent disputes with a 10-year cross-licensing agreement. The specifics of the agreement were not disclosed, and as with all things that aren’t disclosed, it lead to rampant rumor mongering.

In case you forgot, today is the day the HTC One X+ and One VX are slated to land on AT&T. While we’re not yet seeing the One VX, the One X+ is live and ready to be purchased.

Phil over at Android Central has been spending some quality time with the HTC DROID DNA and just so happened to uncover a few surprises. On the back side of the device, to the left of the camera lens, there happens to be a mysterious circle of pinholes. Intriguing to say the least, but when looking for answers, not even HTC’s team members were sure what it was.
