Own the international version of the Galaxy S3 or the Galaxy S3 mini? Well, here is some bad news for you. Samsung has officially confirmed to the folks over at SamMobile that it will not be upgrading these handsets to Android 4.4 KitKat.

The reason? According to the company, the 1GB of RAM on these handsets “does not allow them to effectively support the platform upgrade”, which is ironic since KitKat is the lightest version of Android yet and has been optimised for low-end devices with 512MB of RAM.

Intel and Google today announced a bunch of new Chromebooks powered by Intel’s latest Bay Trail processors at their event in San Francisco. These new Chromebooks from Lenovo, Toshiba, Acer and ASUS will come in various form factors with major under-the-hood enhancements.

More than a year after Google unveiled Play Music All Access in the United States, it has expanded the service to its neighbouring country — Canada. This means that Canadians can now enjoy listening to more than 20 million songs on their Android devices using the Play Music app.

Last month, Google announced it would be ‘rebranding’ its Drive suite of office applications for Android, but at the time gave no indication as to how it intended to do so. Earlier today, the company released two of three new standalone applications — one for Docs, the other for Sheets, and stated the third, entitled Slide, is on its way.
