The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is now officially supported by CyanogenMod 11. The tablet’s first nightly build is available for download now, bringing a taste of pure Android that’s completely free of Samsung’s own TouchWiz user interface.

Instagram today brought added more features to its new Hyperlapse app for iOS, less than a month after it made its App Store debut. And yet, an Android version is still nowhere to be seen. It’s not that Instagram doesn’t want to bring Hyperlapse to Google Play, however — it’s that Android doesn’t currently offer the APIs it requires.

HTC’s new Nexus 9 will make its debut in mid-October, according to yet another report citing two separate sources familiar with Google’s plans. The device will launch with Google’s new Android L update pre-installed, while other Nexus devices are expected to get the release in early November.

HTC will launch the much-anticipated Nexus 9 on October 16, according to an “anonymous tipster” familiar with the company’s plans. The device is expected to boast an 8.9-inch Quad HD display and NVIDIA’s latest Tegra K1 processor, and it could be available to purchase by the end of next month.

Google’s rumored Android Silver program, which was expected to deliver high-end devices with premium designs, has reportedly been put on hold following the departure of Nikesh Arora, one of the project’s leads. Sources say the search giant has now doubled down on its Android One program instead.
