The first Nintendo game will land on smartphones this year.

Nintendo will deliver its first smartphone game by the end of this year, and there will be four more to come by 2017, president Satoru Iwata has confirmed.

While they may not sound like a whole lot, Nintendo insists it will demonstrate its commitment to smartphones and tablets by delivering quality games that are supported long after their release dates.

LG today rolled out a brand new Android Wear app called Call, which allows smartwatch owners to initiate phone calls from their wrist. It’s a useful addition to any wearable, but it has sparked outrage among the Android Wear community, leading to a torrent of 1-star ratings and bad reviews.

Meerkat, the video streaming app that has made quite a name for itself on iOS, is now officially available on Android. It’s still in beta for now, but anyone can download it via Google Play and begin broadcasting to their Twitter followers.
