Imgur-Android

Imgur has today launched its official Android app via Google Play. The free download brings all of your favorite Imgur features to your mobile device, including the ability to browse viral images, comment and vote on images, and upload images directly from your smartphone.

Don’t worry, iOS users — Imgur is also coming to the App Store soon.

Google has pulled a fake BlackBerry Messenger app from Google Play after it was downloaded by over 100,000 users who thought it was the real thing. The app was called “blackberry messenger bbm,” and it was created by a developer called “RIM.” But all it did was install icons, bookmarks, and more from advertising network StartApp.

A lot was unveiled during Google I/O 2013, including a new section of Google Play primarily designed for education apps. Google Play for Education is a program designed to get Nexus tablets into education facilities and provide a dedicated app store offering education-based apps to fill those tablets with.

Sonic

Sega reduced all of its Sonic games on iOS to just 99¢ earlier this week to celebrate the game’s 23rd anniversary, and we had thought that Android gamers had been left out. But the company has today announced that the sale is now available in Google Play, too.
