Google rolled out a major new update to YouTube for Android this week, introducing a brand new user interface with improved navigation, and new features. The app now sports a “card-like” design that’s become a standard inside official Google apps, and you now have the ability to watch clips while you continue browsing for others.

Play Maps Tablet View

Google recently revamped its Maps application, and although it looked great, it was missing one substantial feature that had been included in every other version of the app to date – the beloved scale bar. Now the team at Mountain View HQ have pushed out an update on Google Play for Maps, bringing back the measurement bar which allows you to see distances on a map.

Google pushed out an update for its Translate app on Google Play yesterday, bringing handwriting support for both Hindi and Thai. The upgrade also expands the app’s built-in “camera input” feature capabilities.
