If you had any doubts about Amazon announcing its next Kindle line at its September 6th press event, you won’t now. Amazon is clearly lining up its ducks as they have just released their App Store to the European market as well as listing their best selling device, the Kindle Fire, as “Sold Out.”


The Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX and all of its 3300mAh glory has been available in the U.S. for a couple months now but it appears it will do some traveling soon. Starting next month, the RAZR MAXX will roll out to markets in Europe as well as the Middle East. The powered up RAZR MAXX is essentially what the DROID RAZR should have been and provides all the great specs along with a battery to handle the load. Customers in the U.S. have been able to purchase various versions of the Google TV for about a year now from various OEMs, but according to a new report, the Google TV is launching in Europe this September. The first devices across the pond will be from Sony and will include a €200 ($266) set-top box and a €300 ($399) set-top box featuring a Blu-Ray player.

Music streaming service Spotify has announced that it will continue offering unlimited listening to its free customers in the United States. In case you didn’t know, all that free music you’ve been listening to won’t last forever. Spotify said from the very beginning that free users would only have unlimited listening for 6 months, and it’s been 9 months since the streaming service went stateside. Looks like the honeymoon will last a little longer.

A specific date for the unlimited listening discontinuation has not been given, so you may want to think about coughing up $10 per month for a Spotify Premium account. There’s also some good news for certain Spotify users in Europe.


Samsung Galaxy S II users in Europe, Korea, and other select markets around the globe are being treated to Ice Cream Sandwich thanks to an update that began rolling out last night. Unfortunately U.S. users will have to sit tight as it hasn’t landed in the states just yet. It’s great to see devices being updated and we welcome all new users to the exclusive Ice Cream Sandwich club. Samsung also announced they would be updating a slew of devices to a newer Gingerbread firmware:
