Google, today, rolled out an update for Google Keyboard that bumps the version number to 3.0.1 from 2.0. The update brings a major feature, which has  long been available in other rival keyboards, the ability to import words from other services to offer personalised suggestions. 

Brightest-Flashlight-Android

A seemingly harmless flashlight application built for Android has tricked tens of millions of users into handing over personal data, the Federal Trade Commission has revealed. Developed by GoldenShores Technologies, the Brightest Flashlight app took device ID and location data without informing users, then passed it on to advertisers.

International Data Corporation (IDC) released it’s quarterly report on worldwide tablet shipments Tuesday. The report states that the data tracking agency has lowered its expected forecast for growth in the tablet sector, which includes Android, iOS, and Windows tablets.

Tablet shipments are now expected to reach 221.3 million units this year, which is down from the agency’s earlier forecast of 227.4 million units. This new forecast is still 53.5 percent higher than last year’s unit shipment levels, however.

Android-Device-Manager-lock

Android Device Manager, a new tool that was released just last month that makes it easy to track your Android-powered devices when they go missing, can now remotely lock them, too. The new feature, added today, means you can secure the precious data on your device and prevent it from ending up in the wrong hands.

Verizon Share Everything

Verizon has furtively added another option to its lower-cost smartphone schemes by introducing a 500MB data package for its “Share Everything” plans. These bundles offer a single package of data, unlimited calls, and texts across a number of devices.
