Owners of the HTC Rezound will be getting an update for their device real soon. But before you get too excited, there’s no Ice Cream Sandwich. Well, if it doesn’t have the one thing every Rezound owner is waiting for, what does it have? A few bugfixes and improvements such as:

In case you hadn’t heard, the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX launched on Verizon today. There’s been plenty of coverage of the device leading up to today so there weren’t any surprises and everything went off without a hitch. Those interested can head over to Verizon Wireless and purchase a new 3300mAh RAZR for $299.99 (the same price the original DROID RAZR was just 2 months ago). I’ve been quite bothered by what Motorola and Verizon did with the DROID RAZR and the extended battery that they are calling the MAXX, but I’ve got some news that makes me feel a bit better about the whole situation.

Now here’s a deal you won’t want to pass up. Right now, Amazon Wireless is offering the Android 4.0 packing Samsung Galaxy Nexus for the amazing price of $99. Of course this is for new 2-year contracts, but if you fit that description, here’s your chance to get the latest and greatest Android device at a ridiculous price. We’ve seen the Galaxy Nexus get discounted $50, and even $100, but never a full $200 off of what you would normally pay. Consider this your official invitation to join the Ice Cream Sandwich club.

Verizon’s most recent MAP (minimum advertised price) list has quite a few discounted devices. The most intriguing is that of the Motorola DROID 4. It appears the DROID 4 will be dropping its price to $199 before it’s even released. The DROID 4 still hasn’t seen a release date, but it was originally set to hit the market with a price tag of $249.99. If this latest MAP is to be trusted, those looking to get their hands on one of the slimmest and fastest sliding QWERTY smartphones to hit the market, will also be treated to a lower price. Now that’s something to look forward to.

What perfect timing. We were just talking about how the LG Spectrum (aka LG Optimus LTE) had surpassed over 1 million units sold. Of course that was mostly in Korea, as the LG Spectrum just hit shelves here in the US. Well, we have some good news for any of you interested in getting this hot device as Amazon Wireless is now offering the Spectrum for $80 when you sign up for a new two-year contract. That’s $80 for a 1.5GHz dual-core LTE device! Try beating that price.
