1080p displays are the latest must-have for high-end smartphones, but you may not see one on Google’s next Nexus. According to the latest rumor concerning the Nexus 5, the device will skip a full high-definition display and instead focus on a better camera and a bigger battery.

Evernote for Android has today been updated to version 5.0. This release brings a number of new features to the popular note-taking app, including compatibility with the Evernote Smart Notebook from Moleskin, document searching, and shortcuts. It also makes improvements to the existing camera function.

Samsung has promised that many of its new smartphone features, which will make their debut on the Galaxy S4 next month, will be coming to its predecessor, the Galaxy S III. “Anything that we can do that’s not dependent on hardware like infrared, we’ll definitely bring to all the flagship devices,” said the company’s vice president of portfolio planning, Nick DiCarlo.

A number of third-party cases designed to fit the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S IV have been obtained by British accessory retailer MobileFun. Made by a “trusted” Chinese manufacturer, the cases give us an idea of the size and shape of Samsung’s much-anticipated flagship, which looks to be nowhere near as curvy as its predecessor.

HTC is going to be announcing the One, its latest Android flagship, in about an hour, and the handset’s final leaked press shots are quickly making their way around the web. While we already have a good idea what the device will look like thanks to previous leaked renders, these are the first to reveal the handset’s back along with its new rear-facing camera.
