AT&T customers living in St. Louis have just had their LTE jetpacks filled and should be able to start flying through downloads and web pages — not to mention battery life. Along with St. Louis, Staten Island, NY was added to the AT&T LTE club with 4G LTE being expanded to the 5 boroughs. AT&T is certainly playing LTE catch up and while the rollout may seem like it’s running at a turtle’s pace, AT&T has already pushed out LTE to five of the twelve promised markets. Those remaining include:

AT&T’s twelve market 4G LTE rollout is scheduled to begin on April 8th. Of the twelve markets we reported on last month, only three appear to be receiving 4G LTE on the 8th. The following markets will be the first ones to receive the upgrade:

• Bloomington, Ind.
• Muncie, Ind.
• Bryan/College Station, Texas

Many AT&T customers have been waiting for the HTC One X to land on the network, and today, we might finally have a solid date you can look forward to. Best Buy began offering pre-orders for the handset a few weeks ago, but gave no time frame for the release. Today, Best Buy has notified those who pre-ordered that the One X will be shipping May 6th. 

Samsung has announced this evening that they’ve shipped a surprising five million Galaxy Notes in only five month’s time. The 5.3-inch phablet has received a lot of attention from Samsung, ever since it was launched overseas in October. Samsung touted the larger screen and stylus, and even showed it off during the Super Bowl.

The Android developer/hacker community loves a good challenge so when they found out the AT&T Galaxy Note supported T-Mobile’s HSPA+ frequencies, they immediately went to work. Over at XDA they even had a running bounty for the first person to successfully get the AT&T Galaxy Note running on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network.
