Sprint is in the process of pushing out a rather hefty, much-anticipated over-the-air (OTA) update to all its carrier-branded HTC One handsets. This upgrade brings Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and Sense 5 to the device, in addition to a mass of additional bug fixes and speed optimizations, as well as a stylish new charging animation for when the handset is powered off.

AT&T has announced that it has extended its LTE coverage across the United States yet again, with 13 markets receiving new or improved LTE this time around. Eleven of them are getting LTE coverage for the first time, while the other two are promised faster and more reliable LTE speeds.

Some lucky folks at Verizon were recently able to upgrade to a new phone without losing their unlimited data plan. Color us totally jealous.

This was the result of a glitch, said Verizon, and not a change in policy like some may have mistakenly hoped for.

Verizon told AllThingsD on Monday that it would, however, honor the unlimited plans of customers that were able to upgrade without the dreaded limited data plan of doom.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and its Galaxy Gear smartwatch counterpart are already on sale in Europe, and you’ll be able to pick them up in the United States next month, too. AT&T has today announced that it will be selling both devices online and in stores from Friday, October 4.

AT&T has one again broadened its horizons by expanding its super-fast LTE connectivity service to an additional 9 new markets across the U.S. The announcement was made in a sequential series of press releases on the carrier’s website, just two weeks after the network officially announced that it now operates more than 400 LTE markets nationwide.
