DotEmu prides itself on bringing retro games back to life, and yesterday they announced they’d be bringing the cult classic Another World (Out Of This World to us in North America) to Android with the 20th Anniversary Edition. While the game has been available on iOS since September of 2011, it’s expected to hit Android in the next few months.


A cute new game hit the Android Market yesterday. It’s called Whale Trail, and if my hippie mom had a mobile phone back in the 60 and 70’s, she would have been all over this. Take a trip through rainbow land with Willow the whale, and fly through the 7 kingdoms of colour as he tries to escape the clutches of the evil Baron Von Barry and the Thunder Bros. Adobe may have stopped development on its mobile Flash but it certainly hasn’t stopped updating it to ensure compatibility and security. Both Adobe Flash and AIR received updates today, bringing with them bug fixes, enhancements, and compatibility fixes for Android 4.0. Of course, Adobe lists the complete changelog on their website, but the the updates essentially include:

Google introduced a nice little update to their search app for Android users running 2.2 and 2.3. The update brings a more simplified UI and new color scheme among other things. The search app on Android is probably the single most used feature and I’ll admit, one we probably take for granted, so it’s nice to see it getting some update love.
