‘Tis the Season for icy corpses and carnivorous reindeer. Okay, maybe not the reindeer part, but there’s definitely a legion of undead terrorizing the North Pole and spreading Christmas fear. That’s right, our favorite zombie shooter title Dead Trigger has received a freakishly festive holiday update full of cold corpses, new weapons, and a jolly dead soul called Zanta.

Google’s latest holiday promo appears to involve the Play store and a few incognito elves. These elves will be unwrapping a special play offer each day through 1/1/2013. These offers could be anything from special app promotions to saving money within an app. For instance, today’s offer gives anyone who downloads the app Hotel Tonight $35 to use towards their first hotel booking.

We were happy to see the Calendar app find its way into the Play store as it meant we would be treated to more frequent updates. One such update has just hit the Calendar app and can be downloaded via the Play store. In this recent update, Google has added a few Google Now-ish features which will be a treat for those of you running Ice Cream Sandwich.

While I’m sure the majority of you are using Gmail, I’m betting there’s still a large number of users out there holding onto that old Yahoo! Mail account for contests, newsletters, special offers, etc. Even if you are using Yahoo! Mail as your main account, we won’t judge — but we will tell you about today’s update.

[Update: it appears a large number of Android users were getting errors when trying to download MC4 from the Play store. Gameloft has since pulled MC4 from the Play store until a fix is in place.]

Gameloft continues its reign of top-notch knock-off titles for us to enjoy on our mobile devices. Gameloft may lack originality but they remain one of the few mobile developers spitting out high-quality mobile FPS games. Speaking of high-quality mobile FPS games, Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour looks to be their best yet.
