We were happy to see the Calendar app find its way into the Play store as it meant we would be treated to more frequent updates. One such update has just hit the Calendar app and can be downloaded via the Play store. In this recent update, Google has added a few Google Now-ish features which will be a treat for those of you running Ice Cream Sandwich.

New features include:

• Call and go to map directly from notifications
• Location suggestion on event creation
• Quick event creation from month view

The big favorite here appears to be the location suggestions for events. Many users are happy about the fact that they will no longer have to type out an entire address but rather have Google suggest a few that they can choose from based on their location.

The notification shortcuts are nice as well and let you easily Snooze the event or go directly to Map View.
