Google is designing a new system that could help keep pirated apps out of Google Play. By scanning each app as it is submitted and comparing its assets against those used in other apps, the search giant could detect illegal clones before they make their way into users’ hands.

A minor but very useful feature that Google has introduced in Android 4.4 KitKat is screen recording. While the feature can only be used via ADB on the stock KitKat ROM, it was only a matter of time before some custom ROMs and apps provided the same functionality to root users.

The CyanogenMod team, today, is releasing their Screencast app on the Play Store using the beta channel, which allows users to easily record the content on their device screen and as well as their voice via the microphone.
