Pebble today announced that its new appstore — announced at CES in Las Vegas last month — is now open on iOS and coming soon to Android. It’s already home to over 1,000 apps and watchfaces for everyone’s favorite wearable, and it’s built right into the Pebble app for smartphones.

Flappy-Bird

Flappy Bird, the simple yet rage-inducing game from .GEARS Studios, is now available to download on Android. Like its counterpart on iOS, it’s completely free and insanely addictive, and it makes you want to throw your phone out of a window. But you’ll almost certainly want to play it anyway.

Snapchat has today issued a new update for Android and iOS that allows users to opt out of linking their phone number with their username. The move comes after 4.6 million phone numbers were leaked on New Year’s Day following “abuse” of the Snapchat API — which Snapchat has apologized for in a new blog post.

Nokia-Normandy-Android-UI

We already know that Nokia’s been working on an Android-powered smartphone called Normandy that may never see the light of day thanks to the Finnish firm’s close relationship with Microsoft. And that’s an even more disappointing thought when you see its custom Android user interface in these leaked screenshots.

It looks like nothing we’ve seen before on Android, and I don’t know about you, but I like it.

Australian-based developer Halfbrick is at it again, with free-to-play Colossatron: Massive World Threat, now available around the globe.

You’ll take on the role of the humungous mechanical robot Colossatron on your quest to utterly destroy city after city, using various colored robotic modules to give your wanton destruction just a little extra oomph.

Yeah, color-matching doesn’t sound that fun, but this one? It really is.
