ASUS continues to lead the pack when it comes to updating their products to the latest version of Android. While everyone else drags their feet, ASUS is updating devices like the Eee Pad Slider — which we can’t imagine is a top seller. Nevertheless, they began pushing out the Android 4.0 update to Slider owners in the U.S. today, and continue to put other manufacturers and their empty promises to shame.

International Galaxy Note users are being treated to Android 4.0 along with the new Premium Suite for the Galaxy Note. The update is rolling out to unlocked devices in the form of an over-the-air update in some areas and via Samsung’s Kies software in Germany.

Sometimes we just want to browse the web incognito. Doesn’t really matter what the reason, it’s something we should have the option of doing. In previous versions of Android, this was not possible. In Android 4.0, Google was kind enough to add an incognito mode option to the browser. In case you are unfamiliar with what incognito mode is, it’s an option that allows you to browse the web without leaving a trail (see above image).

One of the most annoying things about browsing the web on a new mobile device is being forced to endure the half-baked, featureless mobile version of a website. These less intensive mobile sites weren’t a bad idea back when mobile phones were packing 500 MHz processors and 3-inch displays, but now that we have quad-core devices pushing 5-inch displays, we want the full desktop experience, none of this mini mobile mess. Thankfully in Android 4.0, you now have an easy way to request the full desktop version of a website.

Now that the smoke has cleared, we can get a better look at the Samsung Galaxy S III and all it has to offer. First off, it’s a large device with a 4.85-inch display that almost puts it into the phablet category. It may be big but it’s still pretty thin and lightweight, measuring 8.8mm thick and weighing 133 grams. You’ll have two colors to choose from when deciding on the Samsung Galaxy S III: Pebble Blue and Marble White. The device’s design is described as that of a “smoothed pebble” and features rounded edges, a small bezel and glossy finish. It’s chock full of features — some old, some new — and will be available in Europe by the end of the month.
