Last night, Conan and Team Coco decided to roast (literally) the Kindle Fire for its various customer complaints. We’re not going to comment on the merits of such claims but we can certainly bask in the humor and wit of Team Coco. Watch the video after the break. Enjoy!


Amazon released an update to the Kindle Fire bringing it to verision 6.2.1. The update includes a much needed performance boost among other things. While this is great news for most Kindle Fire owners, it also brings some disparaging news to those who have rooted their device. This update will indeed remove your root privileges, and unlike previous updates, you won’t be able to re-root the device using the SuperOneClick utility. Of course the majority of Kindle Fire users aren’t going to care about this, and while it’s a minor setback for the hacker community, I’m sure they’ll have a fix soon. Amazon is offering up the HTC Rezound for a price that not even Dr. Dre can beat. The Rezound is a top tier device that hasn’t garnered the respect it deserves due to bad release timing (RAZR and Galaxy Nexus). Amazon is now offering the Rezound for only $149.99 to anyone wishing to sign up for a new 2-year contract or any existing customer with a qualifying upgrade. $149.99 really is an amazing price for a device that features specs like these:

One of the most highly anticipated Android tablets of the year, the ASUS Transformer Prime, went up for pre-order on Amazon last month. Amazon quickly sold out and soon began canceling some customers’ orders. Eventually the ASUS Transformer Prime completely disappeared from Amazon’s site never to be seen or heard of again — that is, until today. Amazon has reopened pre-orders for all four variants of the ASUS Transformer Prime and to make amends with customers who were left in the dark, they are also offering 1-day free shipping along with a $10 credit (only some customers are reporting the credit).

Amazon is reportedly increasing its orders for its Kindle Fire tablet to 5 million units following continued “strong” early demand for the 7-inch device. But could greater demand for the iPad rival actually backfire on the e-bookseller?
