Last month, 3D printing company Cubify, appealed to our affinity for Android by introducing a custom Bugdroid creation webapp to their site. It’s really cool and allows customers to dive in and choose from a variety of customizations to create their very own personal Bugdroid collectible. If you’re not really the creative type or feel the price of a custom Bugdroid is just a little too steep, you can now choose from one of Cubify’s own set of 25 3D-printed Bugdroids.

MDR-XB800

There isn’t anyone with a model catalog quite like Sony (how the hell do they keep track of these things?). The company has just refreshed their line of midpriced, bass-heavy MDR-XB headphones with three new models, replacing four previous ones.

The three new models, the XB800 ($150), XB600 ($100) and XB400 ($60), all follow Sony’s headphone design template: soup-bowl sized, perfectly circular cups attached to massive headbands (the headband on the XB800 is so formidable it looks like it could maybe double as a helicopter landing strut).

We all love those awesome Android mini-collectibles, but what if I told you there was a way to design your very own Bugdroid figurine, have it 3D printed and shipped to your home? You’d probably say I’m dreaming. Well, guess what? That dream is now a reality thanks to 3D printing company Cubify.

I remember saying something to the effect that these Monster Inspiration headphones (passive noise isolation, $300) looked like fluff when I first encountered them at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year. Boy was I wrong.

The teases keep coming, only this time, we now have an official date of launch for the highly anticipated Series 03 Android Mini Collectibles. As you can see from above, Dyzplastic teased another two mini collectibles: Clear and Red. The Clear comes with a mini-mini Android collectible within his belly while the Red is, well… red.
