Google’s VP of Product Management, Bradley Horowitz, announced that Google has partnered with Flipboard to integrate Google+ streams into the popular magazine-styled reader. Google+ will join Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and a host of other social services available on Flipboard thanks to new extended APIs. This new integration is a great step forward for users, especially those who enjoy accessing all of their social content from a single app such as Flipboard.

Okay, I’m going to go out on a limb here and say we’ll definitely see a Google Nexus tablet announced at I/O. I’m not basing this on the countless months of rumors or he said, she said, but on this next piece of hard evidence: ceiling tiles! That’s right, these ceiling tiles were captured at the famous building 44 by a device manufactured by ASUS and going by the name Google Nexus 7. I guess these ceiling tiles have sealed the deal for me, and I’m 100% convinced by the EXIF evidence found on Picasa.

Google has been rumored to release its own branded tablet for quite awhile now. Google has been working on a voice assistant service similar to Apple’s Siri and last we heard it was going to be called Majel (named after the woman who provided the voice of the Federation Computer on Star Trek). According to the latest rumors, that name seems to have been dropped in favor of the simpler “Assistant.” This information comes via an unnamed source who spoke with TechCrunch about the project. The project, which is being led by the Android team along with the help of search engineer Amit Singhal, is expected to launch Q4 and includes three core layers to achieve its goals:

Yesterday the Wall Street Journal reported that Google was developing a home-entertainment system that streams music wirelessly throughout the home and would be marketed under the company’s own brand. The first thing that came to mind was Google’s Project Tungsten from last year’s Google I/O.
