For today’s Secret Feature, we’re focussing our attention towards a very useful fitness tool bundled into the latest build of 4.4 KitKat. Believe it or not, Android includes native support for step recognition and step counters, which means that other fitness/health applications if downloaded will be notified when users are engaging in physical activity.

Google-Play-Store

Google today announced a major update to the Google Play Payments service by adding support for new methods of payments and developer sale countries. The biggest highlight of this update is that Android users can now pay for their apps, music, games or movie purchases from the Play Store via PayPal.

While checking out, users will automatically get an option to login to Google Wallet and pay via their PayPal account, if they wish to. Right now, PayPal integration is only available in 12 countries including the United States, Germany and Canada.

Start by replaced your big purse with the fashion-friendly smartphone clutch from Bazaared that puts everything you need when you’re out and about in your back pocket.

Available in Sky Blue, Wine Red, and Hot Pink, this zip wallet usually retails at $39 — but thanks to Cult of Android Deals you can get it for just $19 for a limited time. That’s a saving of 51%!

They’re based on the stock CyanogenMod 11 apps, which are based on the stock Android 4.4 KitKat apps — but they offer some nifty features that you don’t get direct from Google.

Galaxy-Gear-Tizen

Galaxy Gear owners probably feared that their wearables would never see another software update after Samsung announced a second-generation Gear lineup at Mobile World Congress back in February, just five months after the South Korean’s first smartwatch made its debut. I certainly did — but that won’t be the case.

In fact, the original Galaxy Gear won’t just get a software update; it’s going to get a whole new operating system.
