Google Maps now gives users the ability to measure the distance between two or more locations simply my placing markers down on a map. The feature, available only in Maps on the web for now, lets users choose a starting point and then creates a path to each additional “measuring point.”

Verizon has finally begun accepting pre-orders for the LG G3, more than a month after the device got its official unveiling. Customers will pay a $99.99 upfront fee when they take out a new two-year contract, and orders will begin shipping by Thursday, July 17.

LG-G-Vista

LG has a new smartphone up its sleeve that combines a super-sized display with midrange specifications. The 5.7-inch device, dubbed the G Vista, is headed for Verizon Wireless with a Snapdragon 400 processor, an 8-megapixel camera, and LG’s latest Android software.

Chromecast-peeking

Google started rolling out a very much-anticipated update for its official Chromecast application via the Play Store earlier today. This upgrade brings support for the Android Screen Mirroring feature which was unveiled at I/O back  in June, however, Google states that it’s still in its beta phase so if there are any minor bugs present, don’t be alarmed, they will all be ironed out by the time the final version rolls out later this month.

Google has started rolling out updates for its Google Camera and Gmail app bringing some minor usability enhancements to them. The update for Google Camera will allow users to use their Android Wear powered smartwatch as a remote shutter button for their smartphone or tablet’s camera.
