Alcatel Onetouch today unveiled its new Idol 3 4.7, a smaller version of the flagship Idol 3, which brings impressive specifications for under $180 off-contract. The device makes its debut in the U.S. and Canada this Friday, August 14.

In a bid to appeal to the few users that are still clinging onto BlackBerry devices, Samsung seems to have designed a clunky clip-on keyboard cover for its upcoming Galaxy S6 edge+.

The device, which was leaked on Twitter ahead of its official unveiling, puts physical keys over the handset’s display to provide a tactile typing experience.

Just one day after Google announced the “world’s largest” Android update was coming to eliminate the Stagefright vulnerability, two more flaws have been discovered in its platform.

One allows “hundreds of millions” of devices to be hacked without the owner’s knowledge, while the other allows fingerprint data to be stolen remotely.

Apple’s larger iPad Pro is right around the corner, according to the rumors, and Samsung is already planning something bigger. According to leaked import documents, the South Korean company is currently testing a prototype device with a giant 18.4-inch display.
