Toshiba is finally bringing its super thin tablet to the U.S. market after many trade floor showings and a minor name change. Previously known as the Excite X10, Toshiba has been touting this device as the world’s thinnest and lightest 10″ tablet available. At only 0.3 inches (7.7mm) thick and weighing just 1.18 pounds (535g), it certainly has reason to brag, but as we all know, being the thinnest doesn’t always equate to being the best. The GSMA has announced the winners of the 17th Annual Global Mobile Awards which took place yesterday at Mobile World Congress. The top mobile products and services were showcased and there was even some entertainment with comedian/songwriter Tim Minchine as the host. Categories ranged from Best Consumer Mobile Service to Best Mobile Innovation for Publishing and while we love hearing about innovative products, it’s really the hardware categories that had us talking.
