Google has released yet another beginner video for those just getting acquainted with Android and their new Nexus 7. After publishing a quick setup video, Google has moved on to the homescreen. It’s nice to see Google taking the time out to familiarize new users with their Nexus 7 and the wonder that is Android.

We simply love wallpapers. They’re one of the first changes we make to our Android devices and often represent our moods, interests, or wicked alter egos. They’re as unique as the individuals who use them and while some people pick one and stick with it, others change them more often than a teenager’s Facebook status. Each day we’re going to feature a free wallpaper for you to download and use on your Android device. Depending on your device, you may want to use your favorite photo editing software to resize the image for a better fit. Once that’s done, apply and enjoy. Your homescreen can thank us later. Cheers!

If you happen to have $300 and an orb obsession, you may be interested to know the Nexus Q is now in stock over at the Google Play Store. The consensus seems to be that this thing is just too expensive for what it offers, and while hackers have just recently begun fiddling with the Q, it’s still too early to predict its future. As it stands right now, more people are comfortable with dropping $99 on a VIZIO Co-Star than they are giving up $299 for a Nexus Q.

We sometimes forget that there’s a whole world of users out there experiencing Android for the very first time. Not everyone is a die hard Android cultist, or tech junkie for that matter, and owning a Nexus 7 could very well be a daunting task for some. That’s why Google has made a quick “Getting Started” video to help first timers become acquainted with the Google Nexus 7 set-up process.

Okay, so I was being sarcastic about the clever name. Nevertheless, the joint venture announced by Redbox and Verizon back in February has finally given birth to an official name, and that name is Redbox Instant by Verizon. Together, Verizon and Redbox plan on bringing yet another video on-demand streaming and download service to the market. As long as Verizon doesn’t screw it up with pricing, the Redbox kiosk/streaming combo could be a real winner.
