Nik Software, which was acquired by Google back in September, has brought its award-winning photo editing app to Android. Snapseed is available to download now from Google Play, offering all kinds of awesome filters and effects that will transform your otherwise dull photos into a work of art. What’s more, it’ll do it without charging you a penny.

Every smartphone I purchase for my household has to have a few specific features, one of which is a removable battery. Lately, I’ve been concerned over the growing trend of OEMs locking up the backs of their devices and thus making the battery non-removable (at least without having to grab a screwdriver). I’m not sure what advantages, if any, having a non-removable battery provide, but I am certain of the advantages having a removable battery provide.

The official SwiftKey Flow beta is now available to download for your Android smartphone and tablet. It’s more than just another gesture-based keyboard, its creators say; it promises to redefine the way you type on a touchscreen using “a series of incredible innovations.”

HTC announced its unaudited November revenue on Thursday morning, and the Taiwanese company has seen a slight improvement over the figures it issued in October. Its new smartphones have helped it rake in NT$21.2 billion (approx. $729 million).
