Vine, a new video sharing service from a small team owned by Twitter, has become a big hit since making its debut on the iPhone back in January, and we Android users want to know when we’re going to get a slice of the action. According to a new job listing from the company — which seeks a lead Android engineer — it won’t be too long before the service hits Google Play.

With analysts openly chattering about how Cupertino needs to take a few lessons from Samsung on how to innovate in the smartphone market, a reality check: during the last quarter of 2012, the iPhone 5 was the best selling smartphone in the world. And the second best-selling smartphone? The iPhone 4S, edging the Galaxy S3 out by over 2 million units.

BBC-Sport-Android

The official BBC Sport app has finally landed on Android, more than six weeks after making its debut on the iPhone. Designed for devices that are 7 inches or smaller, it provides you with access to all of the content you’ll find on the BBC Sport website, but in a format that’s much easier to enjoy on a smaller display. It has dedicated sections for football (soccer), Formula 1, cricket, rugby, tennis, golf, and more.

HTC-One-pre-order-UK

Following its much-anticipated unveiling on Tuesday, the HTC One is now available to pre-order in the U.K. from the official HTC Store and from a number of third-party providers. The SIM-free model is priced at £519.99 (approx. $803) with 32GB of internal storage, but the handset can be obtained for free on two-year contracts for £36 (approx. $56) per month.

It’s available in black and silver, but there’s no sign of the red model that HTC has been advertising on its website.
