One of the first announcements that T-Mobile made at its New York press event yesterday was the availability of the Sony Xperia Z . The device will be on sale starting July 17, and is the exact same waterproof Xperia that launched in Europe and Japan earlier this year.

Samsung has overtaken Apple and Nokia to become the global leader in mobile web traffic, according to the latest figures from web analytics company StatCounter. It’s the first time the South Korean company has taken the lead in Internet usage, but Apple isn’t far behind.

The Dreamcast classic Crazy Taxi made its mobile debut on iOS last September, and today it finally comes to Android. It’s almost entirely the same as the original hit — it even has exactly the same soundtrack featuring Offspring and Bad Religion — but it’s been optimized for touchscreen devices.

Sony-press-invite

Sony has begun issuing invited for an “exclusive booth unveiling” in Berlin on September 4. The event takes place just two days before IFA 2013, and it’s thought the Japanese company will use it to unveil its latest flagship smartphone, code-named “Honami.”

GS4 Zoom

U.K. independent electronics retailer Clove will start shipping its first batch of Galaxy S4 Zoom stock today. The device is expected to retail at £442.80 inc. VAT, (£369 exc. VAT), which equates to approximately $660. This announcement comes just days after the Galaxy S4 Active and Galaxy S4 Mini touched down in the United Kingdom.
