It doesn’t seem like it was that long ago when PayPal last overhauled its mobile apps with a brand new user interface, but in a new update for Android and iOS this week, the company has changed its look again.

The “bold new design” is a much better fit for Android’s Holo user interface guidelines, while its lack of virtual stitching a fake leather will surely please those upgrading to iOS 7 later this month.

Despite the fact that Brother’s new, top-of-the-line all-in-one inkjet printer looks like a swarthy behemoth, Brother says the MFC-J6920dw is actually 35 percent smaller than comparable competitor’s models.

Brother achieves this through something they call “Landscape Print Technology,” a feature it introduced last year that lets the printers output to large pages from printers with relatively small footprints.

Today, the BBC is pushing out an update for its official iPlayer app on Google Play, bringing support for Android 4.3, as well as a multitude of bug fixes and stability improvements together with the ability for users to download TV shows.

Android September Stats

Google has just released the latest distribution figures of the Android operating system over a 14-day period ending on September 4. The numbers show a consistent growth in the amount of Android users running Jelly Bean while older versions of the operating system, including Froyo, continue on their journey towards extinction.

Note III

Samsung officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note III, yesterday during its Unpacked event in Berlin. And today, all four major carriers in the U.S. have now published a pre-registration page on their websites, giving the most eager customers the opportunity of receiving an e-mail the minute the Note III becomes available for purchase.
