I’d like to start off the “How-tos” section by showing everyone how to take a screenshot on the Galaxy Nexus. Taking screenshots is one of the most used feature for bloggers like myself, and comes in handy for anyone looking to show off their homescreen or post a pic of that uber high score they got. Believe it or not, up until now, taking screenshots on an Android device was quite the project and required either using the Android SDK or gaining root access and downloading an app. This was way too much trouble for such a simple feature, one that really should have been built into the OS. It seems Google took note of this and decided to finally include the ability to take screenshots into Android 4.0. Now that we have this capability, I’d like to show you how to use it with the first ever Android 4.0 device — the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

Remember that DROID RAZR update we told you about a couple of days ago? Well it’s finally rolling out to everyone so you’re going to want to check your phone. Update 6.11.748 is now ready and you can grab it by going into Settings>About phone>System updates. Even though the ASUS Transformer Prime has absolutely nothing to do with the cartoon character bearing the name Optimus (where was Hasbro regarding the LG Optimus), Hasbro has decided it would like to join the sue happy club of the month and test their luck. While I don’t see Hasbro succeeding in their lawsuit, here’s what they had to say about ASUS and the Transformer Prime tablet:

Some people’s affinity for Angry Birds goes way beyond that of normal standards, as well as some people’s love for Christmas lights (Clark Griswold). The person who made this video seems to suffer from both. Introducing the Angry Birds Christmas light game.

It would appear that Intel is getting ready to showcase their latest Medfield mobile chips. Sometime last week, Intel was kind enough to allow a few lucky folks over at MIT some hands-on with a few Android prototypes sporting the new chips. Technology Review was able to test out both an Android phone (running Gingerbread) and an Android tablet (running ICS) to see just how well these chips perform. The devices themselves are simply “reference designs” sent out to entice manufactures and have absolutely no bearing on what they may look like when finally produced.
