So the Consumer Electronics Show is over for another year, and for those who’ve been in Las Vegas covering it for us, it’s back to normality. While we allow the Cult of Mac team to sober up, it’s time to look back at the best gizmos CES had to offer. There were thousands of products on show — far too many to cover in one week — but there were a handful that really stood out.

We’ve put together a list of awesome things that we were blown away by, including smartphones, accessories, gadgets, and more. Check it out and tell us what you’re most looking forward to getting your hands on in 2013.

Google has begun rolling out its latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean upgrade to the LG Nexus 4. The software is currently reaching handsets located in Brazil and Malaysia, according to reports, but it’s likely it will also appear in other countries relatively quickly. Unlike Android updates for third-party handsets, Google’s don’t have to go through carrier testing.

Developers can now respond to app reviews directly from within the Google Play app on their Android-powered devices. The feature has been available to top app developers via the Google Play website for some time, but now it’s much easier to for them to take advantage of the feature from their smartphones and tablets.

Google has launched a new Chrome beta channel for Android smartphones and tablet running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or later. The new app gives developers and curious users the ability to preview upcoming features prior to their public debut. It works alongside the regular Chrome browser, so you can install it without losing the stable version.

Forget all the gadgets that you’ve seen coming out of CES over the past few days, this is by far the best you’ll see this week. Chad Boughton has taken one of Nintendo’s original Game Boy handhelds and turned it into something useful — a game controller for his Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
