Mobile chip maker Qualcomm has inadvertently confirmed the spring unveiling of Key Lime Pie — the next-generation of Android — in a leaked document that details the development of Google’s platform. We had expected Google’s announcement to come at Google I/O in May anyway, but this should quash any doubts you may have had.

HTC-M7-leak

The HTC M7, the next flagship Android handset from the maker of the Droid DNA, is expected to go on sale in the United States on March 8 — just over two weeks after its rumored press event on February 19. It’s currently unclear which carriers will offer it, but the device is expected to come in black and white, according to a source familiar with HTC’s plans.

Chrome-Android-statue

There’s a new Android statue on Google’s Mountain View campus today. Made from what appears to be chrome, the little guy is hanging out of Building 45, which is situated opposite the lawn where the other Android statues sit. Its arrival has sparked speculation that Google is ready to release a new version of Android, but according to the company, we’re reading too much into it.

Ugh! Just a few weeks after getting my Nexus 4, it looks like LG’s planning to launch a pretty white one. Doesn’t it look beautiful? The company hasn’t announced it yet, so nothing’s guaranteed, but photos of the device have already appeared online. These aren’t just questionable mockups, either — they’re real “hands-on” photos of the device itself.

That slightly odd looking device above is called the Constellation Ti, and it’s the first Android handset from luxury smartphone brand Vertu. It hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s already been appearing in benchmark tests and regulator databases in Singapore and Macau. Several pictures of the device — showing off all four variants — have also been published online by one Russian retailer.

The Constellation Ti is expected to get its unveiled at Mobile World Congress next month, and like all other Vertu handsets, it’s likely to cost tens of thousands of dollars.
