New-Nexus-7-pre-order-Best-Buy

Google’s Sundar Pichai will host an Android event in San Francisco today, where we expect to see Android 4.3 and the new Nexus 7 get their official unveilings. But the latter has already been put up for pre-order at Best Buy and Sam’s Club, where its price tag and specifications are confirmed.

As expected, the second-generation Nexus 7 will be the first to run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and it will do so with the help of a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, Adreno 320 graphics, 2GB of RAM, and either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage.

Motorola’s DROID Mini has certainly turned a few heads; it is the most affordable and compact high-end ‘mini’ device on the market, but when it was announced yesterday, it seems that in all the excitement the manufacturer actually forgot to inform us of most of its specifications − so here they are.

The Mini is the smallest of three new Motorola devices, featuring a 4.3-inch 720p LCD display, compared to its brothers the Ultra and the Maxx which both feature a 5-inch OLED screen.

Verizon-Droid-family

Verizon has today unveiled a new family of Motorola Droid devices, including the Droid Mini, the Droid Ultra, and the Droid Maxx. The Droid Mini, the smallest of the three, prides itself of being “compact without compromise,” while the Droid Ultra is “all about thin.”

The Droid Maxx, which succeeds last year’s Razr Maxx, is all about battery life.

The Sony Honami, the Japanese company’s next flagship smartphone, has been pictured again ahead of its official unveiling. Many expect this device to be a much-improved Xperia Z, and when you take a look at the shots, it’s easy to see why — it looks almost identical.

Google will finally unveil its new Moto X smartphone on August 1 in New York City, but until then, the rumors and leaks will continue. The latest reveals the handset’s new camera UI, which allows you to toggle options and switch between different modes using simple swipes and gestures.
