LG’s new Nexus 5 may launch with Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box, but owners of the company’s flagship G2 won’t have to wait too long for the update. According to leaked information from French operator SFR, the G2 will get the release in either November or December.

While the iPad’s Retina display has traditionally been considered the finest tablet display on the market, that’s no longer the case thanks to Amazon. Its new high-end Kindle Fire HDX has the best tablet display ever tested by DisplayMate expert Dr. Raymond Soneira, “significantly outperforming” the iPad Air’s in several key areas.

HTC-One-SV-for-Cricket

HTC is in the process of pushing out a rather hefty, unexpected over-the-air (OTA) update to all One SV handsets in Europe. The upgrade brings the latest build of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Sense 5 to the device, complete with a multitude of additional bug fixes and speed enhancements.

iPad-Air

Last week, we reported that Samsung had beaten Apple and claimed the top spot in J.D. Power’s latest tablet satisfaction survey. On closer inspection of its findings, it was unclear how the South Korean company had earned first place after its tablets received lower ratings than the iPad in so many areas.

J.D. Power has since explained why that’s the case.

Moto-G-teaser

Claims that Motorola is planning a budget version of the Moto X looked stronger last week when an upcoming magazine containing details of the “Moto G” was leaked online. And now Motorola has all but confirmed the device by teasing a Moto G unveiling for November 13.
