The official Flappy Bird might well be dead, but if you thought that was the last you’d see of it, you can think again.

Since the game’s creator announced it would be pulled over the weekend, countless clones have been popping up all over the place. Even the Pebble smartwatch has one called Tiny Bird, and it’s available now for free through the Pebble appstore.

Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen says he yanked his app from online stores because of its “addictive” qualities, putting to rest the many theories about why he would try to kill the game at the peak of its popularity.

Verizon Wireless has at last officially announced that will be offering the LTE version of Google’s flagship tablet of 2013, the Nexus 7, on its super-fast 4G network, from this Thursday, February 13, 2014. The American carrier will be listing the slate for $349.99 upfront, which will get you a factory unlocked model of the device, or $249.99 on a two-year data only contract. Customers can also add the tablet to their Share Everything Plan for an additional $10 per month.

BlackBerry’s chance at clawing back smartphone share and mounting any kind of a threat against Android and iOS looks slimmer every time the company announces its sales figures. It seems increasingly likely the Canadian company will eventually have to sell off its smartphone business or turn to Android in an effort to survive.

But despite what you may think, the BlackBerry 10 operating system isn’t a complete write-off. In fact, there are lots things it does incredibly well. Having used it myself for quite a bit over the past 12 months, I’ve compiled a list of five features that I think Google should steal for Android.

Google has reportedly dropped Samsung and reached a deal with HTC over the next-generation Nexus 10, according to unnamed industry sources. The current Nexus 10 hasn’t been quite as successful as its smaller sibling, the Nexus 7, but Google will surely be hoping that HTC’s design expertise can change that.
