Verizon is currently in the process of pushing out the much-anticipated Android 4.4.2 update to all of its carrier-branded Moto G handsets located in the United States. This upgrade brings the latest build of KitKat to the device, in addition to the usual multitude of additional bug fixes, stability improvements and speed optimizations.

Looks like the rumors were true. Following reports leaked from Sprint that a red Nexus 5 would go on sale February 4, and leaks of the box art, the red Nexus 5 is now available from the Google Play Store.

I spend most of my day writing about Android, so I’m always being asked by friends, family, and readers what apps and games I recommend. With that in mind, and to save myself from repeating it over and over again, I thought I’d put together a monthly roundup of the apps I’m using.

Microsoft’s search for a new CEO is over. Satya Nadella, who was formerly the executive vice president of Microsoft’s Cloud and Enterprise group, will replace Steve Ballmer immediately, the company said today.

Geeksphone-Revolution

Geeksphone, the Spanish smartphone startup behind the world’s first Firefox OS smartphones, has revealed more about its up-coming Revolution handset ahead of its February 14 launch.

Of course, its main selling point is its ability to dual-boot both Android and Firefox OS, but the handset also offers a 4.7-inch qHD display, an Intel Atom processor, and an 8-megapixel camera capable of shooting 1080p video.
