Revelations of the catastrophic Heartbleed bug shook the Internet last week with news that over two-thirds of web servers were vulnerable to the security hole, but it turns out end-users are also susceptible to the bug, including millions of Android smartphones.

Makers of the Pressy Kickstarter project have given some good news to its backers. People who have backed this innovative little button will have their units shipped by the 28th of April.  The project which started off with a funding goal of $40,000 has now raised over $695,138 with 28,818 backers who have ordered more than 40,000 units, so it could certainly take some doing from the team to ship them out in time.

After several weeks of anticipation, Google’s latest Android 4.4.3 update appears to be on its way.

Nexus 5 users on Sprint will soon be receiving a new KitKat update that enables Sprint Spark on two new bands, and delivers “miscellaneous Android updates,” the carrier confirmed today. And since the Sprint Nexus 5 has the same SKU as the unlocked model, those on other networks should be getting it, too.

A Samsung press event scheduled for April 29 could deliver the first official unveiling of the new Galaxy S5 Zoom. The South Korean company’s invite, which features the tagline “Kapture the Moment,” suggests a photography-focused event just weeks after a new Galaxy Zoom smartphone was pictured out in the wild.
