The Sony SmartWatch 2, which was announced at the Mobile Asia Expo in Shanghai last month, was expected to go on sale in the United Kingdom on July 15 following an announcement from online retailer Clove.co.uk.
But it appears the announcement may have been incorrect. Clove has just issued an update to say that the SmartWatch 2 won’t be available until September instead.
Just days after rolling out the Android 4.2.2 update to the flagship HTC One in Europe, HTC has made the same software — with the latest Sense 5 user interface baked in — available to the Butterfly, the Taiwanese variant of the Droid DNA.
It’s the first time Sense 5 has been ported to an older device.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active is now available to purchase in the United Kingdom. The waterproof handset is priced at around £500 ($745) if you want it SIM-free, but you can get it free on a two-year contract from £33 ($49) per month.
With Samsung and HTC launching “Google Edition” variants of their latest flagships, many expected Sony to do the same. But the Japanese company is keeping very quiet about any such plans.
