At its Unpacked event this evening, Samsung officially unveiled its first Android-powered wearable piece of technology, the Galaxy Gear. The Gear will be available to purchase starting September 25 , but, unfortunately, at present is only compatible with Samsung’s new flagship tablet, the Galaxy Note III, which will also be available to purchase on the same date.

Note 3 Pink

Following hordes of recent leaks, rumors, and speculation Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Note 3 at its Unpacked event this evening. The company’s new flagship phablet is slightly bigger, thinner and lighter than its predecessor, and will be available in over 140 countries worldwide, starting September 25, with an arrival on all 4 key U.S. carriers, as well as U.S. Cellular later this year.

Huawei Valiant

MetroPCS, the largest prepaid service in the U.S., has officially announced that it will carry Huawei’s latest ultra-affordable Android smartphone, the Valiant, which is available to purchase from the carrier’s website as from today.

Moto DVX FCC

A recent FCC filing for an upcoming Android-powered Motorola smartphone has surfaced, which is rumored to be a budget friendly, low-end Moto X variant. The device is dubbed the “DVX,” and according to the filing will be available to purchase in three different models (XT1032, XT1033, XT1035).

Sony-QX10-QX100-leak

At an event in Berlin in just under two hours time, Sony will announce two attachable lenses that you’ll be able to stick onto the back of your smartphone to take better photos. They’re called the QX100 and the QX10, and you can see exactly what they’ll look like in the leaked press images above — and exactly how they’ll work in the leaked TV ad below.
