Over the past few weeks, plenty of leaks and rumors have surfaced, suggesting that Google is planning to launch its latest version of the Android operating system, KitKat, along with the ‘Nexus 5’ next month. And now, as if confirmation was needed, a comment has been made on the official German KitKat Facebook page confirming that the new OS will debut in October.

A new Firefox beta for Android is out today, and among its changes is a new guest browsing feature that will make you feel more comfortable about letting your friends use your phone to surf the web. The update also brings mixed content blocking, and support for add-on indicators in the URL bar.

Google has started rolling out a tiny over-the-air update for the Wi-Fi only Nexus 7. This upgrade bumps the 7-inch slates build up to JSS15R, which, unfortunately, does not bring any new features, instead it consists of a bunch of bug fixes and stability improvements.
