Google is finally making Android Wear compatible with smartwatches that have cellular connectivity, paving the way for a new breed of wearables that don’t require a smartphone for operation. The first device that fits that description is LG’s new Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE.

BlackBerry Vienna, the Canadian company’s second Android-powered smartphone, has been revealed in leaked renders ahead of its official debut. Unlike the new BlackBerry Priv, Vienna has a more traditional BlackBerry form factor, with a keyboard built into the front of a candybar design.

After working with third-party smartphone vendors on the Nexus lineup for years, Google is finally toying with the idea of building its own handset, according to some employees. It’s thought the search giant is keen to have a stab at taking on the iPhone all by itself.

All of the games Nintendo is currently planning for Android and iOS will be free-to-play titles, according to development partner DeNA. That means you won’t have to pay a penny to download them — but they will almost certainly be filled with in-app purchases.
