How long does it take an iPhone to lap a Nexus and a Lumia?

If all of the big boys’ flagship phones – the iPhone 6s Plus, the Google Nexus 6P, and Microsoft’s Lumia 950 XL – raced in NASCAR, which would be the fastest phone around? This speedtest video puts that concept to the test, making all three phones “run laps” to see which is the fastest.

Almost a year since it sold its smartphone business to Microsoft, Nokia is preparing to launch new phones for 2017, according to sources familiar with the Finnish firm’s plans. Details are scarce for now, but it’s likely the devices will be powered by Android.

While it’s great to see Nokia producing Android handsets — especially after its acquisition by Microsoft —  its existing Nokia X family consists only of affordable devices with entry-level specifications. That could change soon, however, with the launch of an Android-powered Nokia Lumia smartphone.

We already know that Nokia’s been working on an Android-powered smartphone called Normandy that may never see the light of day thanks to the Finnish firm’s close relationship with Microsoft. And that’s an even more disappointing thought when you see its custom Android user interface in these leaked screenshots.

It looks like nothing we’ve seen before on Android, and I don’t know about you, but I like it.

Google’s Nexus-branded wireless charger is now available to purchase from Google Play in the United Kingdom. The £35 device, which is compatible with the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and Nexus 7, is currently shipping in 1-2 business days.
