Coming sooner than you might think.

The Big Four US mobile carriers–AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile–have just sent out a press release committing to push the issue of text to 911 capabilities, hopefully sooner than, but at least by, 2014.

These major players, plus The 911 Association and the Association for Public-Safety Communications Officials International, have decided to work together on standards and procedures to make this happen with a seamless transition to text to 911 services across the US.

I can’t believe it’s been two years since Verizon rolled out its 4G LTE network. That’s insane considering carriers such as T-Mobile have yet to even launch a 4G LTE network. To celebrate two years of providing consumers with the fastest, most reliable 4G LTE available, Verizon has a few amazing statistics to remind some of us why we continue to put up with their ridiculous prices and constant BS.

The DROID DNA is a beast of a device from HTC that landed on Verizon a couple weeks ago. Looking to give other phablet devices a run for their money, this bad boy features a stunning 5-inch 1080p Super LCD3 displayas well as a slew of other high-end specs. While the device debuted on Verizon for $199.99, Amazon Wireless has already dropped that price by $50 for both new customers and eligible upgrades.

If you’re a Verizon customer, you’ll want to be on the lookout for an email or text message from asking if you’d be willing to share your data usage (location, web browsing and mobile application usage data) in return for coupons or “rewards.” This sort of data farming for advertisers is nothing new in today’s world, but always a bit unsettling.

Are you upset that Verizon felt the need to key its name into your shiny new device? No worries, Spigen SGP has you covered! What exactly am I talking about? Well, Verizon decided to cram its logo onto the tiny home button of the Galaxy Note II and it looks hideous.
