Verizon has started rolling out an over-the-air (OTA) update to its carrier-branded variant of HTC’s previous flagship smartphone, the One (M7). This upgrade brings a handful of new features and stability improvements, in addition to the much-anticipated Android 4.4.3 software build.

Just a few hours after Samsung’s official Galaxy Note 4 UnPacked event in Berlin, all four major carriers in the United States have announced that they will be carrying the flagship phablet.

AT&T is now rolling out its Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for the HTC One M8. It weighs in at over 660MB, and in addition to Google’s latest security patches, it brings numerous Sense 6 improvements — including optimizations for BoomSound and Motion Launch, and Extreme Power Saving mode.

Google-Play-Store

Many have tried and failed to compete with Google Play on Android, but Verizon is hoping it can buck that trend with its own app store alternative that will allow software developers to “to take full advantage of specific features of wireless-carrier networks,” The Information reports.
