Verizon has started rolling out an over-the-air (OTA) update to its carrier-branded variant of HTC’s previous flagship smartphone, the One (M7). This upgrade brings a handful of new features and stability improvements, in addition to the much-anticipated Android 4.4.3 software build.

The update is primarily the same firmware that T-Mobile’s One (M8) users received last month but its been slightly adapted to work on the older device, so, although it’s labeled as ‘Android 4.4.3,’ it actually includes several security patches which Google bundles into its latest Android 4.4.4 release.

In terms of HTC Sense features, users will notices improvements to BoomSound, Motion Launch and Quick Settings. The Taiwanese company has also distributed its popular Extreme Power Saving Mode, which was announced alongside the M8 earlier this year, to the M7.

If you own a Verizon-branded HTC One and have not received the OTA update, you can head into “Settings,” then “About Device,” and select “Check for Updates” to manually scan for the upgrade. Alternatively, you can wait until you receive a push notification prompting you to upgrade.
