U.S. Cellular is the latest carrier to be rolling out the much-anticipated over-the-air updated OS version to all its Galaxy S4 carrier-branded smartphones. This hefty upgrade, which weighs in at 537MB, brings the latest build of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean together with support for the Galaxy Gear.

Google has pushed out a new update to its official Google Keyboard app for Android, introducing a number of new KitKat features — including support for Emoji — and some small design tweaks. It’s available to devices running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and you’ll find it in Google Play right now.

Google rolled out a new Google Play Services update for Android this week, introducing all kinds of new features and improvements for developers. But it’s not all good news. The company has also quietly disabled Android Device Manager, the feature that allows users to remotely lock and wipe lost and stolen Android devices.

The upcoming Android 4.4 KitKat update for the T-Mobile Moto X has been leaked ahead of its official release. It comes less than a week after Google announced KitKat’s release, and early reports suggest it works surprisingly well.

LG’s new Nexus 5 may launch with Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box, but owners of the company’s flagship G2 won’t have to wait too long for the update. According to leaked information from French operator SFR, the G2 will get the release in either November or December.
